OUR STORY
ARC was founded in 2015 with a goal of increasing the overall accessibility, democratizing the and the influence of grassroots and activist organizing in anti-oppression education and change work. With this vision we have given hundreds of hours of open to the public programming, consulting services, and partnership based support to social justice movement organizations.
OUR MISSION
ARC imagines a world where people are able to live free from oppression, rooted and aligned with the living world, and in relationship with each other across differences. We desire for our future to recognize the wounds of the past, to create healing by sharing power and resources and living in solidarity with one another, so that we cultivate an interdependent world. We imagine ourselves to be in the work of stewarding this reality by committing ourselves to transformative education and action on the internal and external realities of oppressive dynamics that maintain the systems of oppression.
OUR APPROACH
Our programs blend pedagogical approaches to anti-racism and anti-oppression education with racial justice organizing practices. Our work utilizes affinity and multi-racial models that provide honest and constructive dialog along with authentic engagement across difference and the deeply meaningful and healing act of coming back together.
We facilitate spaces that mirror the world we dream of, where dialog across difference gives root to our discourse and feeds our actions. The work we do confronting systemic racism and oppression is grounded in intersectionality and the belief that no oppression exists in isolation.
